COLUMBUS, Ind. – Otter Creek Golf Course recently announced that Brent Downs, the director of agronomy at Otter Creek and Harrison Lake Country Club, had become only the 90th person in the world to be certified as a “Master Greenkeeper” by the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA).
Downs is now just the 36th person to possess both Master Greenkeeper and Certified Golf Course Superintendent classifications, two of the highest accolades available to experienced golf greenkeepers on either side of the Atlantic.
Master Greenkeeper is highly respected in the golf world. It signifies the holder has achieved the highest level of professional expertise with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of golf course management.
