NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) arrested a Jackson County man for dealing narcotics last weekend.
Early Saturday morning, dispatch received a call about a possible accident with injuries at County Roads 20S and 700W. Deputies arrived and found the car with a male sitting inside.
The initial investigation determined there was no accident and the man was not hurt. While speaking with the driver, Grant Stuckwisch, 23, of Seymour, law enforcement became suspicious of criminal activity. Deputies deployed K9 partner Dino to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle and he gave a positive alert to the odor of narcotics inside.
A search was conducted and two firearms were supposedly located in the car. Four separate baggies containing over 100 unprescribed pills and a bottle of Bromozolam were allegedly found on the suspect. JCSO says Bromazolam is an extremely deadly substance that is commonly used to enhance the effects of Fentanyl and is resistant to Naloxone (Narcan) effects.
Stuckwisch was taken into custody and transported to the Jennings County Jail where he was preliminarily charged with Dealing in a Controlled Substance (Level 5 felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Level 6 felony), and Violation of a Legend Drug Act (Level 6 felon).
