NORTH VERNON, Ind. – A new Jennings County Fair Queen was named Sunday at the Jennings County High School auditorium. The 2024 Fair starts Monday, June 10, and runs through Saturday, June 15.
17-year-old Ava Galliher received her crown from 2023 Miss Jennings County Katelynn Asbury. She is the daughter of the late Tanya Galliher and Todd Galliher. The recent high school graduate stood out from eight other young ladies in the Queen division. She will be attending IU Bloomington to study prelaw psychology. This is her third year competing in the pageant.
Claire Hack was the First Runner-Up and the Charlene Ze Comstock Miss Congeniality Award winner. She is the daughter of Audra and Tony Hack. Kennedy Woods, daughter of Sally and Eric Woods, was second runner-up.
Out of the eight Fair Princess contestants, Graci Ross received the title. She is the daughter of Rachel and Matt Ross.
The judges also gave a Sunshine Award for the first time, which went to Lucy Craft. Finally, a new Little Miss and Little Mister were crowned and the honors went to Alexandria Plum and Bentley McClain.
